Liverpool supporters believe the club should sell a first-team player immediately after watching his performance in the Reds’ 4-2 pre-season defeat to Leeds United in Chicago.
Liverpool looked set to extend their unbeaten run under Andoni Iraola when strikes from Luke Chambers and Florian Wirtz put them 2-0 up at the break, but Leeds were level within 26 minutes of the restart, with Brenden Aaronson and former Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin making it 2-2 with just under 20 minutes to go.
By the 73rd minute, Leeds had overturned the two-goal deficit to lead 3-2 thanks to Sean Longstaff’s smart finish before Calvert-Lewin registered his second and the Whites’ fourth with five minutes remaining at Soldier Field.
Liverpool fans were left worried by the poor second-half showing, with many calling for reinforcements to be brought in before the Premier League season. Iraola finished the match with a back four of Calvin Ramsay, Ifeanyi Ndukwe, Mor Talla Ndiaye and Kostas Tsimikas.

Liverpool fans want Curtis Jones sold
Meanwhile, a number of Liverpool fans called out Curtis Jones’ performance, with the Liverpudlian arguably at fault for Leeds’ third goal after failing to block Longstaff’s finish.
One fan said: “Curtis Jones is one overrated and bang average player. But he holds the ball. Sell him tomorrow @lfc.”
Another added: “Why Curtis Jones was allowed to wear the captain’s armband after Wrexham is beyond me, his performance and attitude was terrible tonight! Sell him for whatever we can get.”
A third claimed: “Curtis Jones should just transfer out, man, his play is so sloppy and it looks like his mind's wandering everywhere. He'd fit right in Serie A! The level's definitely below the Premier League, but that's exactly what he needs to fix his mental game and performance first.”
While a fourth commented: “Curtis Jones only has himself to blame as to why he isn't a starter at Liverpool. His decision making on the ball is diabolical and he's constantly injured. If you want the captaincy after Van Dijk you need to show and prove on the pitch. Not in quarrels with your teammates. Sell.”
As a fifth wrote: “Just not having the way Curtis Jones is being talked about. He is allowed a bad game. He’s allowed a bad spell. He’s allowed to be disillusioned by his contract mess; feeling underpaid & unloved by his boyhood club. We know his top level. Get his contract sorted. Then back him."
