Liverpool fans have had enough of one player after they drew 3-3 with Leeds United having been two goals up.

On Saturday afternoon, Premier League champions Liverpool travelled to Elland Road to face Leeds United.

Having drawn 1-1 with Sunderland midweek, the pressure was on Arne Slot's side to pick up a vital three points in the match and get their disastrous season back on track.

Initially, it appeared that this was going to be the case as Liverpool dominated possession before summer signing Hugo Ekitike put the Reds 2-0 up early in the second half.

Although several Liverpool players have been putting in disappoint performances so far this season, there is perhaps one that has received more criticism than any other.

Despite entering the season linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, defender Ibrahima Konate has put in several dismal performances for Liverpool this season.

And fans feel that his performance on Saturday night was just another of these lacklustre games, and they weren't shy to let him know.

Reacting to the match, one fan wrote on X: "This result is Konate. Simple as that."

While another claimed: "Strolling to a win until agent Konate attempted to use more than 4 brain cells get his contract terminated in the dressing room."

With one angrily writing: "That game's done if Konate doesn't get involved and give that penalty away. And that's him in a nutshell… constantly has to get involved and do something f****** stupid."

After Ekitike put his side comfortably ahead in his return to the starting lineup, national teammate Konate allowed the hosts to get back into the game after making a reckless challenge inside his own box.

Konate was penalised for fouling Wilfried Gnonto in the box, with former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin converting the penalty.

Just two minutes later, midfielder Anton Stach found an equaliser for Leeds United.

Although Dominik Szoboszlai was able to put Liverpool ahead once again, substitue Ao Tanaka found another equaliser for Leeds United in the 96th minute.

The result comes as pressure on Liverpool boss Slot continues to build, with club legend Jamie Carragher recently going as far as to say that the Dutchman's continued selection of Konate was a 'sackable offence'.
