Arne Slot has been given a strict deadline to improve Liverpool's form or he will be sacked, costing the club a huge amount.
Just seven months after they lifted the 2024/25 Premier League title in April, Liverpool are suffering their worst run of form in decades.
In the last 12 matches across all competitions, the Reds have won only three, losing the remaining nine games, conceding nine goals and scoring one in the last three.
Such dismal form has of course raised questions regarding manager Slot's future at the club, with many fans and pundits calling for the Dutchman to be sacked.

And now, the deadline that Slot has been told he must steady the ship by if he hopes to keep his job has been revealed.

After Liverpool's latest loss, a 4-1 thrashing from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, Slot admitted that he was not worried about his position, despite the mounting pressure.
He said: "No I am not worried. My focus is on other things than worrying about my own position. I need to do better."

But according to a report from Fichajes, Slot has just two matches to turn things around or he could be sacked immediately,
It is claimed that, should Liverpool lose both of their upcoming Premier League matches against West Ham United and Sunderland, then the board will dismiss Slot from his role as manager.
With a crucial run of fixtures coming up during the festive period, the board reportedly do not want to prolong a situation that could continue to have a serious impact on their season's objectives, as would be the case if Slot stayed past two more defeats.

How much will Liverpool have to pay to sack Arne Slot?
But if Liverpool are to pull the trigger and sack Slot just 18 months after he was appointed, then Liverpool would have to pay a large fee to end his contract.

According to Fichajes, Slot's contract includes a termination clause that would forced the club to pay him £10million in the event of early termination.
This eight figure fee is one of the key reasons why the club have so far been hesitant to sack Slot, but it is claimed that the Liverpool board are aware that maintaining this instability and poor from could prove to be more costly than paying the compensation.
