Former Tottenham Hotspur owner and chairman Lord Sugar has suggested that Spurs replace Thomas Frank with an elite manager following the side’s 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest.
It was yet another concerning performance from Spurs at the City Ground as Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest ran out 3-0 winners thanks to a strike from Ibrahim Sangare and a Callum Hudson-Odoi brace.
Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was partly at fault for the opener just two weeks after being booed by his own fans in Spurs’ defeat against Fulham.
The Italian passed to an under-pressure Archie Gray, who was dispossessed by Sangare, before Hudson-Odoi tapped the ball home from close range on 28 minutes.

Forest and Hudson-Odoi’s second came from an attempted cross, which Vicario lost the flight of before watching it nestle into his net.
After Frank withdrew Djed Spence, Gray, and Rodrigo Bentancur, the home side finished the job when Sangare unleashed a long-range strike past Vicario.

The result leaves Spurs in 11th place in the Premier League and with one win in their last seven top-flight games, leading to speculation about Frank’s future just under six months since he arrived from Brentford.
Following the match, the Dane was forced to address full-back Spence’s behaviour after the England international delivered an angry reaction to being substituted.
Spence muttered a few words and gestured towards the bench before then throwing a coat that had been handed to him.
Frank said he’d speak to the player about the incident.
As a result of Spurs’ poor form, several fans have called for a potential change in head coach, with former owner and chairman Alan Sugar suggesting that the north London club should hire ex-Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp.
On X, Sugar wrote: “With the massive fortune of the Lewis family, it would be a win-win situation if they hired Jurgen Klopp in January. Loads of money for players and a great manager.”

Of course, Klopp previously managed in the Premier League for nine years before stepping down as Reds coach following the 2023/24 campaign. The German has since been without a coaching role.
In January of 2024, Klopp claimed that he “definitely will never, ever manage a different club in England than Liverpool”.
“My love for this club, my respect for the people is too big,” Klopp said at the time.
“I couldn’t. I couldn’t for a second think about it. There’s no chance. This is part of my life, we are part of the family, we feel home here. There’s no chance to do that.”
Klopp, who won eight major trophies with Liverpool, is currently Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull Group.
