Back in December, Paul sensationally claimed that his team sent McGregor a $50 million offer in an expletive-laden call out.
In the profanity filled video, things quickly turned personal when he insulted the UFC star's fiancée and brought up the fighter's past controversies.
"What the f**k is up, you Irish c**t?" Paul said, seated in a sports car and draped in an Irish flag while smoking a cigar.
Paul has continued to flirt with a potential fight against McGregor, with many slating the YouTuber for his efforts, but the Irish fighter has now explained why he isn't against the often criticised 'YouTube boxing scene.'
In a recent interview with Bloomberg, 'Notorious' admitted he is "certainly a viewer" of those who are willing to get in the ring and take a risk.
He also brought up Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr after being asked for his thoughts on the subject.
The reporter begins by saying: "A lot of people are criticizing [YouTube boxing] as maybe making a bit of a mockery of fighting. It's the predominant view among fans of combat sports...I want you to weigh in on that for me."
McGregor responded to the question, saying: "If they are fighting well then it can't make a mockery of fighting. They're getting in and competing. I am not so much against it.
"What I will say though is the numbers that that show calculated was a Mike Tyson fight. You had an icon fighting as well as Roy Jones Jnr, two GOATs [greatest of all time] of combat sports.
"And then you had the YouTube kid and NBA star competing underneath that. So they done good business.
McGregor continued, saying: "Am I into those competitions myself? You know it's not the most high-level - if any level - at that stage.
"Obviously the Tyson vs Jones fight was very high level and very interesting to see what they're like in their older age. I thought they both fought amazingly.
"As they say, if it makes dollars, it makes sense. I know Dana and the UFC are not really into it, but I'm not so against it.
"I think if people are willing to get in and take the risk of making that walk, I'm certainly a viewer."
