Why did the chicken cross the road? Because it was thrown by one boxer at another apparently. Not the cleverest joke of all time but you start to wonder about the intelligence of the men involved in these things anyway.
Boxing is becoming ever more like WWE. Yesterday's 'clashes' between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder and Fury's dad weren't exactly the most organically created situations on earth.
The American heavyweight champions turned up at the weigh in for Fury's latest fight on his comeback trial in Belfast as rumours continue to circulate that the pair will get it on in the ring sooner rather than later.
Not even any of the contract signings in WWE, where either the table gets flipped or someone goes through it, feel as fake and forced a the shenanigans that can go on between boxers in the build up to their fights.

However just as one situation feels extremely scripted we've been given a situation that feels so ridiculous it surely couldn't have been written.
Video footage appeared on Friday night of one of Deontay Wilder's entourage seeming to chase boxer Billy Joe Saunders out of Nando's in Belfast, reportedly because the middleweight threw half a chicken at the heavyweight:
It's thought that the member of Wilder's entourage is the man that can be seen amongst the 'clash' at Fury's weigh in:
As in the video BJS can be seen wearing a camo t-shirt on his Instagram story from yesterday so the pieces of the jigsaw really do seem to be fitting together nicely.
The chase from another angle:
Wilder is commentating tonight for BT Sport as Fury takes on Francesco Pianeta in just his second fight since returning from nearly three years out of the ring.

The two exchanged words at the Europa Hotel, minutes after there was a shouting match between Wilder and Fury's dad, and the two boxers had to be separated by members of their teams.
Frank Warren is expected to announce a fight between the pair following tonight's fight. Expect Wilder in the ring, expect fireworks, don't expect more flying chickens though- unless Chicken Run is on television of course, but it's not Christmas.
