Only 14 People Have Scored Birdie On The World's Most Extreme Par 3 Golf Hole

Who fancies it?

Fancy your chances of nailing the highest and longest par three in the world? Well, only a select few have managed to make birdie on the hole nicknamed Extreme 19th.

Located at the Legend Golf & Safari Resort in the Entabeni Safari Conservatory in South Africa, a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Johannesburg, the incredible hole is 400 metres high, 395 yards long and has a green shaped to resemble the continent of Africa.

The tee is only accessible by helicopter and it takes the ball over 20 seconds to land. Just check out the below footage of a golfer trying his luck on Extreme 19th. Insane!

Despite its notoriously difficult tee position, 14 golfers have managed to get a birdie, including former Cricket player Franklyn Stephenson.

F1 driver Lewis Hamilton could only score a par on the hole, as could American actor Morgan Freeman, while Irish professional golfer Padraig Harrington became the first-ever person to score a three.

The 18-hole signature golf course in South Africa was designed by a host of professional golfers, including Pádraig Harrington, Sergio García, Colin Montgomerie and Justin Rose.

Here is course designer Harrington playing the par-three back in 2010.

If you think you'd struggle to find the fairway, or even the green, on South Africa's extreme par three then worry no more.

A company have developed an advanced technology that enables a ball to be substantially straighter on the slice and hook shots, using shallow and deep dimples to lower lift and reduce drag while enhancing weight distribution.

Polara Golf claims that if you slice a golf ball 100 feet, the exact same swing with our anti-slice golf ball would slice about 25 ft, leaving you in the fairway instead of the rough.

As you can see in the clip above, YouTuber Rick Shiels clearly attempts to slice his tee shot right but the ball appears to correct the angle and goes straight down the fairway.

This is perfect for golfers who always find the rough, or worse lose their ball when playing a round with mates.
