Sky Sports quickly issued an apology after Robert MacIntyre and Tyrrell Hatton completely lost their heads at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
From October 1–4, 168 professionals and 168 amateurs are coming together to compete in the historic Alfred Dunhill Links golf Championship across St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.
On the opening day at Carnoustie, defending champion MacIntyre and three-time winner Hatton and their amateur partners were put together in a fourball and things quickly took a shocking turn for the worst on the 8th hole.

The four are competing against each other at the event, with MacIntyre's team getting off to a stronger start as they approached the par-three hole eight that caused both teams to lose their heads.
As MacIntyre and Overman teed up at the hole, they boasted an impressive score of two under-par while Hatton was at one-over for the day.
Unfortunately for the defending champion, his opening shot at hole 8 didn't exactly go to plan as he pushed his shot way to the right of the green.
Clearly angered by the mistake, the Scotsman could be hear shouting and swearing while smashing his club into the tee box in frustration.
Moments later, Hatton had a similar incident as his tee shot saw him fall right in the middle of the front right bunker, setting up a challenging lay-up to try make par.
Therefore, when his bunker shot only just made it out before rolling way past the hole and off the other side of the putting green, Hatton completely lost it.
Just seconds after taking the shot, the Englishman began furiously smashing his sandwedge into the bunker in a shocking moment.
Sky Sports immediately apologised to viewers after both incidents, with many fans complaining about the behaviour considering the more relaxed nature of the pro-am event.
At the end of the first round, MacIntyre carded a 71 and remains firmly in contention to defend his title, while Hatton opened with a score of 74.
