The path back to the PGA Tour for both Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm has been revealed following LIV Golf's collapse.
On Thursday, it was confirmed that, after investors pulled out, LIV Golf would officially fold instead of launching a new version, raising questions about the future of some of the biggest players.
Many fans have expressed hope that big names like DeChambeau and Rahm could return to the PGA Tour, and now we know exactly what they need to do to make it happen.

How can Jon Rahm return to the PGA Tour?
On November 4, BC Partners withdrew its proposed $300m backing for LIV’s relaunch after struggling to secure sufficient player commitments.

It was already confirmed that Rahm would not be taking part in LIV 2.0, but DeChambeau had remained supportive of the project.
Now that it won't be going ahead, the future of both players still remains up in the air but they could still return to the PGA Tour, but neither currently has an immediate route back having left at over three years ago.
Both DeChambeau and Rahm passed up the Returning Member Program used by Brooks Koepka earlier this year, and the Tour has announced no plans to reopen it.
That means that, under current policy, they each face a year away from LIV competition before becoming eligible to return.
This waiting period runs from their last LIV appearance, rather than when they announced their departure, meaning both men are expected to be able to return on 23 August 2027, having played the LIV season finale in Indianapolis, which ended on 23 August this year.
That being said, it's much more likely that we would see them return for the 2028 season, likely to run approximately from February to August 2028.
In the meantime, Rahm’s immediate plans are clear as he already holds DP World Tour membership and intends to compete there in 2027, meaning he can play a full schedule while serving the PGA Tour restriction.
He can then secure qualification for the 2028 season through his European performances.
That being said, the PGA Tour could still welcome Rahm back early, with the Spaniard admitting he he would accept penalties similar to Koepka’s if offered an accelerated return.

How can Bryson DeChambeau return to the PGA Tour?
For DeChambeau, a return to the PGA Tour more than four years after leaving is slightly more complicated as he has not yet confirmed plans to play on the DP World Tour.
Like Rahm, his clearest alternative to LIV Golf is to join the DP World Tour for 2027, using his 2024 US Open victory to secure membership fr the European Tour.
He could then pursue a PGA Tour card through his Race to Dubai finish, and join for the start of the 2028 season.
Again, any earlier comeback would require the PGA Tour to offer another special arrangement, which seems unlikely after the Tour said that there was no current plans to revive the Returning Member Program used by Koepka earlier this year.
