Manchester United outcast Antony has been stuck in limbo this summer but could now be one step closer to securing a move away from Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old winger arrived at Old Trafford with a big reputation and an even bigger price tag from Ajax in the summer of 2022, with United paying the Dutch side a whopping £86m for his services.
However, the Brazilian has struggled to adapt to life in England, producing just five goals and three assists in 62 Premier League appearances.
Following Ruben Amorim’s appointment as Manchester United manager, Antony found minutes hard to come by - resulting in a loan move to La Liga side Real Betis last season.

The forward was a revelation in Spain, scoring nine goals and registering five assists in the league and UEFA Conference League.
His performances were enough to see Betis reach the final of the Conference League, where they were beaten by Premier League club Chelsea.
His upturn in form not only helped Betis but also meant Manchester United could consider demanding a higher transfer fee for him this summer.
Several clubs have reportedly been interested in signing the forward despite that increase.

Betis have been vocal about their desire to sign him on a permanent basis, while Football Espana claim that Saudi Arabian team Al Nassr are interested.
However, now one of the Turkish football’s biggest names have apparently joined the party.
Fenerbahce, who are currently managed by former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, are eager to acquire Antony’s signature, according to ESPN Brazil’s Bruno Andrade.

Furthermore, the sports journalist has said that Mourinho’s side have an edge over the likes of Betis because they are willing to pay United’s €45 million (£39m) asking price.
Spanish publication El Chiringuito state that United had set that asking price earlier in the transfer window.

The Red Devils are eager to generate funds after a busy summer in the transfer window that has seen them sign three big-name forwards.

They have added Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to their ranks, as well as Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
Amorim’s side will be hoping to surge up the table after a disappointing 2024/25 campaign that saw them finish in 15th place in the Premier League.
They also missed out on a place in the UEFA Champions League after a 1-0 defeat against Spurs in the Europa League final.
What has Antony said about his future?
Speaking after the Conference League final defeat to Chelsea, Antony admitted he was unsure about his future.

"I don't know what will happen in the future; only God knows. My work is playing, and I'm doing that well," the Brazilian said at the time.
"I have a lot of affection for Betis, for everyone, but I have a contract with Man United and I don't know what’s going to happen.
"Now I will go to the national team and then on holiday, then we will see what happens in the future. I'm very happy here, everyone knows that, but I have a contract."
