Manchester United have reportedly increased their asking price for Antony after two Premier League clubs, including Newcastle, made enquiries about the wantaway Brazilian.

The 25-year-old winger is not part of Ruben Amorim's plans for the upcoming season and is currently training separately from the rest of the United squad as a number of clubs continue to express an interest in his services.

After joining Real Betis on a six-month loan deal in January, Antony registered nine goals and five assists for Manuel Pellegrini’s side as they reached the Conference League final against Chelsea.

A host of teams are said to be keen, including Villarreal, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, who are managed by former boss Erik ten Hag.

But the former Ajax winger appears to prefer a permanent move to Real Betis, although a major sticking point remains the price, with United's valuation being described recently as "exorbitant" by reports in Spain.

Back in May, it was reported by Spanish publication El Chiringuito that United were demanding between £34 million and £42 million for Antony following his successful loan spell at Betis.

But now, it appears the club have upped their valuation amid interest from 'at least three European leagues', which include Germany (RB Leipzig and Leverkusen), England (Brighton and Newcastle) and Spain (Real Betis).

That's according to reliable Brazilian outlet UOL, who claim Antony is valued internally at approximately £50 million (€58m).

The report adds: "Highly valued on the market, given his high performance on loan to Betis last season, the Brazilian, however, is in no rush to decide his future. Above all, he wants the change of club to be made with confidence and conviction."

Antony is prepared to take a 30 per cent wage cut to leave United permanently this summer, with the club needing to make £32.58 million to avoid a loss on Antony under the Premier League's profitability and sustainability regulations.

He currently earns around £150,000-a-week at Old Trafford.

The winger has struggled at United since joining the ranks from Ajax in September 2022 for a reported £86 million. In total, he's notched 12 goals and five assists in 96 appearances for the Reds.
