Two clubs have emerged as favourites to sign out-of-favour Manchester City winger Jack Grealish as a new asking price has reportedly been made clear.
Man City are hoping to bounce back from a disappointing Premier League campaign that saw them relinquish their league title to current champions Liverpool.
Pep Guardiola's side also failed to win the UEFA Champions League and suffered a 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final at Wembley in May.
Their bitter rivals United went one step further and suffered through one of their worst seasons in living memory.

Not only did they finish 15th in the Premier League table, but they also suffered a humiliating 1-0 defeat against Tottenham in the final of the UEFA Europa League.
That defeat meant they missed out on a place in the upcoming campaign's edition of the UEFA Champions League.
Both sides are hoping to rebuild their squads this summer, but to do so, they will need to generate funds.

Fortunately, both clubs have plenty of big names that they could sell in order to raise funds for incomings this summer.
Red Devils star Marcus Rashford has been linked with a move away from the club, while his former England teammate Grealish is also reportedly seeking pastures new.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, both players could still command eye-watering fees.
The publication believes that City and United have put a £40 million price tag on the two players.

They may struggle to sell at such a high price after both players endured difficult 2024/25 seasons.

Grealish made just 20 appearances in the Premier League last term, scoring one goal and registering one assist.
According to Oddschecker, Napoli and Spurs are the two leading contenders to sign the winger this summer.

The 29-year-old was left out of City's squad for the Club World Cup, although Guardiola insisted that this was not down to the player's behaviour.
"The only reason he [Grealish] didn't play minutes was me, not because he was incorrect or whatever," said Guardiola in June.
"I want the best for Jack, his partner, his kids, his family.
"I don't know what's going to happen right now. have any doubts about the qualities of Jack. The quality has always been there, the year of the treble would have been impossible."

Meanwhile, Rashford was sent out on loan to United's Premier League rivals Aston Villa.
That came after a controversial interview with sports journalist Henry Winter during which he admitted he was ready for a new challenge.
