'Stop talking *****' - Jack Grealish lashes out after missing out on Man City pre-season squad

Jack Grealish has lashed out on social media following reports of him being 'left out' of Manchester City's pre-season tour in Asia.

On Saturday, Manchester City get their first pre-season under new manager Enzo Maresca underway as they face Inter Milan in their first match of the summer.

The match will take place in Hong Kong as part of a three-match Asian tour that will also see them play a K League All Stars side and Atletico Madrid in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday and Sunday next week.

Ahead of the tour Man City officially confirmed the squad of players that would be travelling to Asia, with those that made it to the latter stages of the World Cup left out due to required rest time.

However, two names stood out that were not included in the squad despite not playing at the World Cup, Kalvin Phillips and fellow Englishman Grealish.

Both men are currently in the middle of an extended period of time off the pitch, with Grealish's last appearance being in January before sustaining a serious foot injury while on loan with Everton.

Shortly after news of the City's squad was revealed, ESPN UK reported on Grealish and Phillips being 'left out' of the tour, prompting a bitter response from Grealish who took to the comments to set the record straight.

"Just to let you know I’m still recovering from an injury so I’m not training yet," Grealish wrote.

"Haven’t been ‘left out’ so stop talking poo poo thanks."

As it stands, it is not known when Grealish will be fully recovered and ready to return to the pitch, but given the fact he has recently been seen training at RCD Mallorca’s training ground in Spain, it is likely he is almost back.

This of course raises questions as to what's next for Grealish, with the 30-year-old's future uncertain after Everton decided against triggering a £50million option-to-buy clause included in Grealish's loan deal last season.

It is believed that a move back to the Merseyside club could still be on the cards, particularly if Iliman Ndiaye leaves for Al Hilal this summer, but Everton would only be willing to make a deal for a massively reduced fee.

Meanwhile Phillips, who hasn't played a match since February while on loan with Sheffield United, is reportedly set for a second loan spell with the Blades.

Shock club considering move for Jack Grealish as Everton return stalls

Should Everton decide against signing Grealish this summer, then the Englishman could be forced to consider another option away from Man City this summer should he feel that his minutes at the Etihad aren't secure.

With that in mind, it is believed that Al Hilal, the same club looking to sign Ndiaye, may also be interested in a move for Grealish this summer.

The Saudi Pro League side have already signed Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United in a deal worth £60m, but are reportedly eager to continue strengthening their attack.

Should Grealish make the move to Al Hilal, he could reunite with former City teammate Joao Cancelo, but the defender is expected to return to Barcelona, where he played last season on loan, at some point in the coming weeks.
