Aaron Ramsdale's brutally honest post about Newcastle has resurfaced after the goalkeeper became a key target for the Magpies.
On Monday afternoon, news broke that Newcastle had made a move to sign the Southampton's keeper.
Keith Downie from Sky Sports reported that Newcastle had submitted a loan offer with an option to buy the goalkeeper next summer, with negotiations ongoing between the clubs.
He added that Ramsdale's personal terms are not expected to be an issue, as the former Arsenal number one is open to the switch.

A move would see the England international link up once again with Eddie Howe, who he played under during his time at Bournemouth.
But Ramsdale's willingness to move to Tyneside is in sharp contrast to just 12 months ago.
Last summer, Ramsdale - while still at Arsenal - was linked with a move to Newcastle.
In response to the rumours, he took to X and wrote: "news to me."

Do Newcastle need Aaron Ramsdale?
Newcastle have struggled in the transfer market this summer, with several key targets turning them down.
That includes the goalkeeper James Trafford, who Newcastle have been interested in signing for the past two years.

They believed he was finally set for a move to St James' Park this summer, until Manchester City entered the race and decided to exercise their £27 million buy option.
It left Newcastle without yet another first-choice target but it appears they have quickly moved on to their next goalkeeper target with Ramsdale.
The England international joined Southampton for £18 million last summer and conceded 66 goals in 30 Premier League games for one of the worst sides to ever play in the top flight.

Although it was a difficult campaign for Ramsdale, he made some outstanding saves during his previous spell playing at Arsenal.
But ultimately he made too many costly mistakes at the Emirates and Mikel Arteta, who was seeking to build a side capable of winning the Premier League, decided to bring in David Raya instead.
For Newcastle, Ramsdale is a good option if they are seeking to change their profile of goalkeeper.
Current number one Nick Pope is a more traditional shot stopper, who is excellent at making saves but less comfortable on the ball and coming off his line.

By contrast, Ramsdale is vocal, confident with the ball and happy to come off his line, which are all traits associated with modern goalkeepers.
While Ramsdale offers more upside than a keeper like Pope, fans may still prefer the solidity offered by Pope.
