Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has all but confirmed his expected departure from the club, by putting his £3.5 million house on the market.

With Dean Henderson's return to Old Trafford last summer, after spending the previous two years on loan with Sheffield United, Romero's future was thrown into serious doubt.

On transfer deadline day back in October it was thought the Argentina goalkeeper was going to be sold to Everton but the club blocked the move, much to the annoyance of the player's wife.

Romero, who was added to the 25 man squad for the Premier League in January, can leave for nothing in the summer and he' taken another step towards leaving.

The 34-year-old has put his Cheshire mansion up for sale on Rightmove for £3.5 million, or you can simply rent it for £22,000-a-month.

If you are looking for a mansion in a gated community in the north west, in an area teeming with Premier League footballers, then you might want to know that the house has six bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.

There are a ridiculous five 'reception rooms' for all the parties you'll be wanting to host once Covd-19 restrictions have finally been lifted.

There's a games room, including table tennis table, office and a triple garage for all your expensive cars.

Speaking in January about a player he's not played all season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said, "Sergio is working hard in training.

"He's in the group and of course he lost a lot of training earlier on in the season.

"...He's working with the keepers but with Dean, Lee Grant and David it's been more difficult to get in the match squad."

Romero is now back in Argentina over the international break, whilst Solskjaer has recently used Henderson as his number one since De Gea went back to Spain for the birth of his daughter. Grant has been on the bench in a number of games recently too.
