Ruben Amorim Tipped For New Premier League Job And He’d Face Man Utd Very Soon

Ruben Amorim has been backed to make a swift return to the Premier League.

Ruben Amorim has been tipped to make a quick return to the dugout in the shape of a Premier League job and he'd face Manchester United very soon.

Man United parted ways with Amorim following his bust-up with director of football Jason Wilcox.

He was dismissed just days after his explosive outburst during the press conference of the Red Devils' draw against Leeds United.

Despite being out of a job for just a week, the Portuguese has been linked with several managerial posts, including a Champions League club.

Amorim has also been tipped to remain in England's top flight in what would be a stunning appointment.

Sol Campbell believes Amorim is the ideal replacement for Thomas Frank at Spurs.

Pressure is mounting on Frank, who is under-fire amid Spurs' struggles this season.

Ex-Spurs defender Campbell reckons Amorim fits the bill to replace Frank, who joined from Brentford in the summer.

Asked who would be the ideal manager to replace the Dane, Campbell told Sky Bet: "Ruben Amorim.

"They’ll be looking at him. They’re probably talking to him now, that wouldn’t surprise me. I don’t think he’ll go back to Portugal.

"Tottenham will be talking to him to see if there’s any situation going on - there’ll be people talking behind the scenes."

Campbell added: "Thomas Frank is a top manager, but he’s not at Brentford anymore - it’s a different animal. Tottenham is a big club and people are demanding.

"They want success and they want to keep moving forward in a successful way. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re talking to other managers.

"Obviously, if he starts turning it around and winning games and having good performances, that helps.

"Sometimes you don’t need to win, but if you can have good performances and show you’re moving in the right direction, that can help.

"But they will be talking to other managers. It’s part and parcel until you show who you are and start winning on a regular basis."

Spurs occupy a spot in the bottom half of the league, with just 27 points on the board.

And they suffered FA Cup elimination on Saturday, losing 2-1 at home to Aston Villa.

As things stand, Spurs are 11th in the Champions League standings, having won three of their six games.

Frank will have to turn his side's fortunes around or risk losing his job amid a run of four games without a win across all competitions.
