Trent Alexander-Arnold has been labelled as a 'snake' by a certain section of Liverpool fans since leaving the club for Real Madrid but this time the most unlikely of sources has targeted the two-time Premier League champion.
Last week the 26-year-old was introduced as a Real Madrid player and in his introductory press conference, Alexander-Arnold left the media stunned by speaking fluent Spanish.
It came after the last few weeks of the Premier League season in which Alexander-Arnold had to endure a mixed bag of criticism, love, and respect from fans, former coaches, teammates and media personnel.

Although he has officially started training with Real ahead of their Club World Cup campaign, the feeling among Liverpool fans remains mixed with social media, as always, a hot bed for discussion.
This time however, Trent Alexander-Arnold was called out by one particular Liverpool source that has left people somewhat perplexed.

Trent called out by John Lennon Airport on X
Alexander-Arnold posted a video of his move to Spain on X with clips including his journey on the flight and moments from the press conference.

While he would have expected backlash, the English player would not have expected to be called out by Liverpool John Lennon Airport's X account.
They reposted his video and said: "He even flew from Manchester."
The account holder put a snake emoji with it and posted it to their official account. In less than an hour, it has been viewed by thousands with hundreds of accounts replying to the post. The post was subsequently changed from a snake emoji to a roll of the eyes but not before fans could screengrab it.

Real Madrid's Liverpool connection
Former Liverpool player Xabi Alonso has been appointed as the head coach of Madrid and this will prove to be a major boost for Alexander-Arnold who traditionally plays at right back.

The Madrid player is known for his ability to cross the ball and videos from training seem to show that he could be the corner taker for the team going forward.

Good friends with Jude Bellingham, the England international is expected to be a key part of the side that did not enjoy a great deal of success in the 2024/25 season, starting off with the Club World Cup and hopes of winning it
Madrid paid in excess of £8 million to acquire his services early for the Club World Cup and Trent is expected to make his debut for the team on Wednesday when the Spanish giants face Al Hilal.
The player was also given two gifts after officially signing and will be hoping to prove his worth with brilliant performances for them in the competition.
