Liverpool Post About Trent Alexander-Arnold Sparks Outrage

Fans were shocked to see the messaged that Liverpool sent straight to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool fans are not happy with the club after spotting what they posted about Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In what was undoubtedly the biggest transfer scandal of the summer window, England international Alexander-Arnold left boyhood club Liverpool to join Real Madrid.

Despite the defender's contract at Anfield having just one month left, the La Liga giants paid Liverpool around £8.4million to secure his signature early ahead of the Club World Cup.

Since then, the 27-year-old has become massively unpopular among Liverpool fans who feel his behaviour in the build-up to his departure was not appropriate.

For that reason, fans were not happy with the club once they saw the recent post about Alexander-Arnold put on the official social media accounts.

After starting his first match for Real Madrid in June, Alexander-Arnold has struggled to establish himself as a guaranteed starter under new manager Xabi Alonso.

As it stands, Alexander-Arnold has made just five appearances at Real Madrid, failing to impress while Liverpool continue to challenge for the Premier League title, despite a dip in recent form.

But it appears that Liverpool still hold their former player in high regard as the official account took to social media to wish him a Happy Birthday, sharing a photo of him holding the title at the end of last season.

However, it's clear that this feeling ins't shared by fans, as they quickly took to the comments to criticise the decision to send good wishes to the former player.

Reacting to the post on X, one fan wrote: "Get the distinct impression this will not go down well with the masses!"

One joked: "'This tweet is worse than those three straight defeats which we suffered last week,' a second commented in agreement."

However, not all fans were so negative, with one, more sympathetic fan, added: "Happy birthday to Trent. He's suffered enough in Madrid, I actually feel for him now."

While another claimed: "'Happy birthday to the smoothest passer of the ball. Trent could ping a ball like nobody else"

Alexander-Arnold will be given the chance to set things right with Liverpool fans on November 3 when Real Madrid travel to Anfield for a Champions League clash.
