Trent Alexander-Arnold's move to Real Madrid has been confirmed as details of the unique agreement Liverpool have struck with the Spanish giants emerge.
Alexander-Arnold has been widely expected to sign for Los Blancos for a while now and earlier this month, announced he would be leaving his boyhood club upon his contract expiring.
But after an emotional send-off lifting the Premier League trophy last week, The Athletic say Trent Alexander-Arnold will now link up with England teammate Jude Bellingham and sign a six-year contract.

As is common practice for Spanish clubs, a hefty release clause is set to be inserted in Alexander-Arnold's deal - according to Fabrizio Romano.
Although it was set to be a free transfer, Real will pay Liverpool a single fee of £8.4 million to sign him imminently so that he can play in the revamped Club World Cup tournament which kicks off in the United States in June.
Liverpool, who confirmed his controversial departure with an official statement, therefore do not have to pay Alexander Arnold's remaining wages, with any bonuses also removed from the equation.
Having been agreed on Monday, the day of Liverpool's title parade, the deal will be made official on June 1.

After 354 appearances, 23 goals and 92 assists led to winning eight major honours, the club said they are "appreciative and grateful" for his contributions in a highly successful period for the Merseyside club.
Alexander-Arnold is in line to make his debut against Al Hilal on 18 June, with Real also meeting Pachuca and Red Bull Salzburg in the Club World Cup group stage.
