The Last Time Mohamed Salah Started A Game At Anfield And Didn't Score Was Boxing Day

Now that is an impressive stat.

Ladies and gentlemen, one of the most impressive stats of the season has emerged this evening.

Liverpool goal machine and all round great guy Mohamed Salah has started and scored in every one of his past 11 appearances at Anfield.

Since the club's 5-0 win against Swansea City on Boxing Day, the Egyptian forward has scored against Leicester City, Everton, Manchester City, West Brom, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham, Newcastle United, Watford, FC Porto and Manchester City again.

Liverpool Echo reporter James Pearce told his followers the stat and well, it went down a treat:

Salah has bagged an incredible 39 goals this season and not only is the Egyptian leading the charge in terms of the Premier League Golden Boot race - even if Harry Kane is doing everything to stop him - but the 25-year-old's influence in the Champions League has seen Jurgen Klopp's side reach the semi-finals.

He joined from AS Roma in a reported €42 million deal last summer and hasn't stopped scoring since.

The fact that Salah never showed anything like this kind of form when he moved to Chelsea, and even though he improved during his time in Italy with Fiorentina and Roma, nobody expected his rise to fame this season.

The question remains though. Who will win the PFA Player of the Year award come the end of the season? Will it be Mohamed Salah or Kevin de Bruyne?

It has become quite the talking point on social media in recent days.
