Liverpool Fan Starts Petition To Review The Goal-Line Technology In Manchester City Game

And it's already happened.

It didn't take them long. A Liverpool supporter has created a petition on Change.Org to review the '100% accuracy of goal-line technology' used in their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Thursday night.

In the first half, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah combined magnificently to put teammate Sadio Mane through on goal, but his shot struck the post.

John Stones tried to clear it off the line but the clearance rebounded off goalkeeper Ederson.

I'm still not not sure how it happened, but Stones then managed to react quickly and clear the ball off the line, nutmegging Salah in the process.

Replays show that the ball was just 1.12cm away from being declared a goal, with goal-line technology confirming the incident.

That didn't stop fans from complaining though, and one fan going by the name King Kenny decided to take action. "It's not fair. We want justice" he said on his petition.

66 people have already signed the form, and it quickly surfaced on social media for the world to see. It picked up plenty of reaction.

Liverpool suffered their first defeat of the season against Pep Guardiola's side, with the scintillating Sergio Aguero opening the scoring, while a great strike from Leroy Sane in the second-half put the tie to bed.

Jurgen Klopp's side are still four points clear at the top of the table but he title race is certainly back on after last night's result.

Thoughts on the decision?
