Well played.

FC Barcelona and sponsors Rakuten decided to celebrate Mother's Day in Spain by posting a squad list with players mothers' names, but that wasn't the end of this brilliant gesture.

The likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique walked out for their game against Villarreal with their mother's names emblazoned on the front and back - a perfect way to celebrate the mothers of the world.

Before the fixture, Barcelona's Twitter account announced the squad like this, with the hashtag 'TrueChampions':

As told by Barcelona's official website, in Spain, Mother's Day was celebrated last Sunday, while in many other parts of the world it is celebrated on the second weekend of May.

Therefore, in between both days, Barça's match against Villarreal provided the perfect moment to celebrate everyone's #TrueChampions.

Fair play to Barcelona for this classy gesture.
