ITV commentator Lee Dixon has been called out by England fans after making an embarrassing blunder during coverage of Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Andorra.
England extended their 100 per cent winning record in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico - beating minnows Andorra 2-0 at Villa Park.
Thomas Tuchel's side played some neat football at times but will be disappointed with the final scoreline against a limited opponent, with Christian Gonzalez's first-half own goal and a second-half header from Declan Rice the only difference between the two teams.
One positive for Tuchel was the performance of Elliot Anderson, who looked comfortable making his senior debut for England.

He picked up the Man of the Match award and will hope to keep his place in the side for Tuesday's qualifier away to Serbia in Belgrade.
Former Arsenal defender Dixon, who was on commentary duties with Sam Matterface, was quick to praise Anderson's performance.

However, he made a major error live on air which was picked up by viewers at home.

Dixon said: "Elliot Anderson just looks like he's played there forever. He's confident, he's picking the ball up off the centre-backs.
"I saw him play against Leeds last week and he was absolutely brilliant in midfield for Newcastle."
Dixon was referring to Newcastle's goalless draw with Leeds in the Premier League last Saturday.
Unfortunately for the former Arsenal man, Anderson left Newcastle in 2024 to join Nottingham Forest in a £35m move - spending the entirety of last season and the start of the current campaign at the City Ground.

ITV viewers were quick to pick up on the error.
"He's shockingly bad," posted one unhappy England fan, referring to Dixon.
"I'm so glad I'm not the only one who heard that," added another.

While a third wrote: "Lee Dixon was one hell of a footballer but he's an awful commentator."
England have now recorded four wins from four in qualifying and are on course to book their spot at next summer's World Cup.
They next face Serbia away from home on Tuesday and will move eight points clear of the Balkan side with a victory at the Rajko Mitic Stadium, with only the group winners qualifying automatically.
