Eagle-eyed fans spotted what Trent Alexander-Arnold did during England's match against Andorra after being left out of the squad by Thomas Tuchel.
Alexander-Arnold, 26, was a surprise omission from Tuchel's 24-man squad for this month's World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia.
The former Liverpool star, who joined Real Madrid earlier this summer, has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot with the national side and was often overlooked by Tuchel's predecessor Gareth Southgate.
As a result, he has so far only amassed 34 caps for England, a surprisingly low amount given his huge talent and success at club level.

England took on Andorra at Villa Park on Saturday without Alexander-Arnold and he surprised fans with a post midway through the first half of the 2026 World Cup qualifier.

The defender retweeted a post from Calvin Klein on X, showing himself posing in underwear for the designer brand.
It also included a video of himself stripping naked before entering a shower as part of an advert for the brand.

"Slip it off, hit the showers. @TrentAA in nothing but the Microfiber Stretch Boxer Brief and the Intense Power Cotton Trunk," read the post.
Fans were quick to spot the retweet, with one commenting: "Nothing better to do right now?"
While another wrote: "It's been 3 days man", referring to the initial publish time of Calvin Klein's post.
It's unclear if the timing of post was intentional by Alexander-Arnold and his team, or if it was pre-scheduled as part of his deal with Calvin Klein.

Meanwhile, other England fans have questioned why Alexander-Arnold was left out of the squad, despite his undoubted quality.
"It's bizarre that Trent can't get into this England Team! We are so boring and one dimensional," wrote one unhappy fan after the first half.

Another asked: "What's happened to Trent Alexander-Arnold? Has he been playing badly for Real Madrid, or has he fallen out with Thomas Tuchel?"

"England are boring asf, this line up has zero creativity, yes he left Liverpool but i still think Trent should be starting at right-back, his creativity is phenomenal," added another.
Trent Alexander-Arnold's reaction to England omission
Speaking last week when he first announced his squad, Tuchel revealed how Alexander-Arnold had reacted to being left out.
"I spoke to Trent. It was a difficult phone call, but I wanted that he hears it from me, which he appreciated," said Tuchel.

"He was very clear that he’s desperate and keen to come back and play for England."
England next face Serbia on Tuesday before games against Wales and Latvia in October - Alexander-Arnold's next opportunity for an international call-up.
