Zlatan Ibrahimović is edging closer to a
return to AC Milan after talks between the LA Galaxy striker's
representatives and the Italian club are at an 'advanced stage.'
Goal reports that talks between Ibrahimović and Milan are 'progressing at pace,' as well as suggesting that a deal could be 'announced in the next few days.'
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via CalcioMercato), the 37-year-old Swedish footballer has agreed to terms that would see him move back to the San Siro in January.
The former Manchester United and Inter Milan star has been offered a six-month deal. It is also reported that there will be a one-year extension before he 'enters into his final six months of his [LA Galaxy] contract between June 2020 and December.'
The Italian newspaper has added that Ibrahimović is now waiting for a response from Milan sporting director Leonardo Araújo before the deal can move ahead. It's also believed that 'both parties [are] interested in making it happen.'
According to Milan News' Antonio Vitiello, the former Barcelona player's agent, Mino Raiola, had visited the club's headquarters for a meeting that lasted four hours.
It is reported that the former Mila star was
the 'central theme' of the conversation.
As well as Ibrahimović, Chelsea midfielder
Cesc Fàbregas has emerged as a top target for Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso.
