England fans were heard singing "It's Coming Home" in the first half of the Euro 2020 semi-final between Italy and Spain at Wembley.

66,000 fans are expected to be in attendance at the national stadium for England's huge game with Denmark on Wednesday but some bought tickets for tonight's fixture.

15 minutes into the clash, some Three Lions fans belted out the popular chant that the country continue to sing in support for Gareth Southgate's side.

But it was not well-received by Italy and Spain supporters, who promptly whistled in an attempt to drown out the anthem.

Footage was posted by the BBC from their broadcast, but there was also a separate video from a England fans page on Twitter.

Plenty picked up on the England fans attempting to hijack the semi-final:

Meanwhile, a couple of Italian fans decided to put their own spin on the phrase by unveiling a "It's Coming Rome" banner in the stands.

Prior to Wednesday's game, Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel savaged the "It's Coming Home" chant in a presser when he said, "Has it ever been home? "I don't know, have you ever won it?".
