Ronaldo challenges IShowSpeed to blood test as he shoots down his World Cup dream

Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Nazário challenged IShowSpeed to take a blood test after questioning the internet sensation’s physique.

The 21-year-old has been making the most of the 2026 World Cup in North America this summer and attended 2026 FIFA World Cup match between Brazil and Morocco, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Speed was in the hospitality area on Saturday night, livestreaming from the stands and interacting with several football legends.

There, he ran into Ronaldo, the second-highest scorer in men’s World Cup history behind German icon Miroslav Klose.

Having met the YouTube star before, Ronaldo asked whether he had been training since their last encounter. Delighted by the question, Speed flexed his muscles and lifted his Real Madrid shirt to show off his abs.

Speed then revealed his ambition to play at the 2030 World Cup and asked Ronaldo whether he thought it was possible.

Instead of boosting his confidence, Ronaldo delivered a playful reality check.

“2030? No, you need more time,” he smiled. “You need 50 years. I know you’re fast, though.”

Speed laughed off the remark, but the conversation soon took a different turn when Ronaldo appeared to question whether his physique was entirely natural.

“You take something?” Ronaldo asked while inspecting Speed’s build. “It is only training, this?”

Speed insisted his physique was “natural,” but Ronaldo remained unconvinced and shook his head.

The former FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF striker then jokingly suggested a blood test to settle the debate.

“Yeah, you can blood test me,” Speed replied with a smile before the pair went their separate ways, bringing the awkward exchange to an end.

Turning to the camera, Speed reassured his viewers that his transformation was clean.

“Chat, that’s a compliment,” he said. “R9 thinks I’m on the [performance-enhancing drugs].”

He then headed over to fellow 2002 World Cup winner Roberto Carlos, who was sitting alongside Ronaldo and Kaká in the hospitality area.

After explaining that he had been working on his football skills, the social media star asked the legendary defender for coaching advice.

“I need you to teach me your left foot,” he pleaded. “Teach me the technique. You’ve got to teach that.”
