After his move to Real Madrid was made official, details of Marc Cucurella's Chelsea departure have been revealed, with his partner taking to social media with a heartfelt goodbye.
Real Madrid have been hot on a defensive rebuild under the new management regime of Jose Mourinho, with Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella having his move confirmed earlier today.
The fuzzy-haired fullback joins Ibrahim Konate and Denzel Dumfries as arrivals at the Bernabeu, all of whom will land in Madrid following their countries' respective World Cup campaigns.
But Cucurella's was arguably the most surprising move of them all, with his transfer request coming almost out of nowhere, and it might have started a mass exodus as another Chelsea star cheekily supported the move.

Now, details of his departure have been revealed, with the Spaniard's partner waving farewell to London.
Cucurella leaves Chelsea for 'personal' reasons as partner issues social media statement
Having moved to Chelsea from Brighton, Cucurella has spent the last five years playing in the Premier League, after rising through the Barcelona academy and spending time at Getafe.
Those five years have seemed to have taken a toll on the Spanish international, though, despite the birth of his daughter in England.
Following confirmation of the move back to Spain, Cucurella's partner, Claudia Rodríguez, took to Instagram to reveal how much Chelsea meant to them.
"I don't know how to say goodbye to my home," she said.
"Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this experience; I feel so lucky for everything we've shared these past years.
"I arrived with two babies and I'm leaving with two little boys and a British girl, and I don't know how I'm going to explain to them that Chelsea is no longer part of our lives.
"Everything we've experienced these past years has been a pure learning experience; we've lived through it all, but above all, we've enjoyed this journey.
"Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this chapter of our lives, thank you to my girls, whom I'm going to miss a lot, and thank you to every Blue I've met. I wish you all the best; London will always be Blue."

Although Rodriguez's farewell statement indicates that Chelsea will be missed, new reports claim that Cucurella left London for Madrid for personal reasons.
According to Ben Jacobs, "Cucurella expressed a desire to return to Spain for personal and family reasons."
He also claimed that Chelsea wanted to keep the Spaniard, but felt that the £50m fee was strong enough, given the recent performances of Jorrel Hato in the same position.
The 'personal and family' reasons haven't been elaborated on, but it's clear to see that the Spaniard is fond of home soil.
From previous outings in the national team, Cucurella has showcased his love for Spain, such as during his Euros celebrations, aiming digs at Erling Haaland while professing love for Paella and Estrella.
Still, the arrival of fellow Spaniard Xabi Alonso wasn't enough to keep him settled at Chelsea.
For the London club, Alonso is already looking to strengthen his squad with midfield and attacking options, seemingly satisfied with Hato as the Cucurella replacement at left-back.
