Manchester United's new home kit for the next season has been leaked online and it promises to be an instant classic.

The Red Devils are still in the middle of a £75 million-a-year deal with Adidas and the German sportswear brand look to be creating a retro design for 2022/23.

The uber reliable Footy Headlines have shared images of the shirt, which has black Adidas stripes on the shoulders rather than white.

The last United kit to have the black lines was in 2018/19. This strip also has a large retro white colour that contains a slew of dark red and black triangles, and buttons for polo-like design.

United legend Eric Cantona would be very proud of this particular detail indeed, with some serious 1994 vibes going on.

Strikingly, there is also a distinct difference in the badge this time around as the club crest has a red pentagon shield around it - similar to what we saw in the 2019/20 campaign.

The shirt, sponsored by TeamViewer, will be a much darker shade of red - while the socks will be black and have a similar pattern to what is on the collar.

The reaction to the shirt has been largely positive thus far, with fans really digging the design.

One fan wrote: "Adidas have really worked their socks off this one, combining the classic collar and the shadow pinstripes with bit of nice geometry on the collar and outlines logo for a new twist. They’ve really upped their game with United kits recently.”

Another said: "This actually looks promising. The collars gives off very 90s vibe."

A third commented: "Remove the border from the Adidas logo and change the sponsor to Sharp or Vodafone and we're gold."

United and Adidas' contract runs through until 2024 while their deal with TeamViewer is currently in its second season.
