Yan Diomande hits out at Karim Adeyemi’s wife as bitter online feud heats up

Yan Diomande has responded to recent controversy online started by Barcelona forward Karim Adeyemi's wife, Loredana Zefi.

The 2026/27 summer transfer window was without a doubt one of the busiest, and most expensive, in football history with several players being bought and sold for figures well north of £100million.

Among those nine digit players is Real Madrid's Diomande who has now responded to scrutiny online, seemingly started by Zefi, questioning his massive price tag.

Karim Adeyemi's wife sparks Yan Diomande debate online

Following a summer of links with a move to join Liverpool, Diomande decided instead to join Spanish giants Real Madrid for a fee worth up to £120m (€140m).

Since the move, the 19-year-old has made eight appearances for his new club but is yet to score his debut goal, already causing some to call out the price of his transfer.

One of the biggest names to seemingly call out Diomande's price tag is rapper Loredana Zefi, the wife of Barcelona star Adeyemi, who appeared to reference Diomande's transfer following her husband's impressive start to life for the Blaugrana.

Like Diomande, Adeyemi also secured a move to one of the two Spanish giants this summer with Barcelona paying Borussia Dortmund approximately £19m plus another £6m in potential add-ons for the 24-year-old.

But unlike his Real Madrid counterpart, Adeyemi has got off to a fantastic start this season, scoring three and assisting another three across his first eight appearances in all competitions.

And in one of his posts celebrating his performances, Zefi took to the comments, simply writing: "140 MILLION"

Naturally, many have assumed that this is referencing Diomande's €140m move to Real Madrid, particularly after many Spanish outlets have compared Diomande and Adeyemi's seasons so far having both joined the two biggest clubs in the country.

Yan Diomande hits back at critics after disappointing start at Real Madrid

Following the criticism from Zefi and others online, it appears Diomande has decided to hit back, but instead of using words, the Real Madrid forward took to TikTok to respond with a cryptic message.

In a video that appears to have been filmed on a Real Madrid team bus, the Ivory Coast international appears mouthing the words to a song that resembles his ongoing situation.

Translated to English, the lyrics state: "140 million that’s what they asked for, they’ll always come to criticise us, we just keep climbing."

The song, Migbo by Sethlo, is written primarily in Mina (Ewe) and French and reportedly focuses on perseverance, overcoming jealousy and succeeding despite haters.

Therefore it's clear that Diomande is using the song to hit back at Zefi and anybody else questioning his ability or value after his disappointing start at Real Madrid.

Of course, Real Madrid fans will likely want to see him respond on the pitch rather than in a Tik Tok video but at just 19 years old, Diomande has plenty of time to become the player the Los Blancos paid so much money for.
