Manchester United could be prepared to make a move for Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Erik ten Hag has already made it widely known he is interested in bringing Dutch talent to Old Trafford, with the signing of left-back Tyrell Malacia in the summer, and now he is in for Netherlands international right-back Frimpong.

The 21-year-old has travelled to Qatar with Louis van Gaal's Oranje squad but is yet to play any minutes at the tournament.

Sky Germany have said a "summer change" is possible for Frimpong and his destination is likely to be United.

Leverkusen's right-back is aware of the interest from Manchester and is said to be open to the change.

Ten Hag has already said he wants another full-back

The Dutchman was discussing Diogo Dalot's fantastic start to the season in October and told Sky Sports: "I'm really happy with the development of Diogo.

“His defensive positioning is growing from game to game, his time, also duals, are better from game to game and in possession, I think he's really good.

"He has the breath [cardio] to go up and down [the flank] so the development is really good, but I have to mention, I think a club like Man Utd need two good full-backs because we have a lot of games to cover."
