Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to make a massive signing that could reassert them as the best club in the world.

With the likes of Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior in the team, Real Madrid are already one of the most formidable clubs in football.

Despite this, the Spanish giants are still regularly linked with several of the biggest players in the sport, as proved by them signing Trent Alexander-Arnold, Franco Mastantuono and Dean Huijsen last summer.

With Real Madrid competing for both the Champions League and La Liga titles this year, it's clear that they stand a strong chance of making even more major signings this summer.

And it appears that the club may have already identified their next signing, and it would cement themselves as perhaps the best club in football.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has long been a key part of the club's transfer decisions, and that appears set to continue in the summer.

According to Sport Bild, Perez has identified Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as the club's next big target and hopes that they can move to sign him this summer.

However, signing the 24-year-old will not be easy as the Bundesliga giants reportedly have shown no interest in allowing him to leave due to his key role in the club's recent success.

Even if the German side decided that they would sell their star player, they would certainly demand a massive fee for his services, with his current contract running until 2029, and it doesn't include a release clause.

But, this may not be an issue for Real Madrid, as the report claims that Perez is prepared to offer €160million (£138.36m) for the forward this summer.

If Bayern Munich were to accept such an offer, it would represent a profit of €100million having signed the France international from Crystal Palace in June 2024.

However, Real Madrid aren't the only club heavily linked with a move for Olise, as the exciting talent has long been linked with a move to Anfield this summer.

With Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah almost certain to be leaving the club in the summer, it has been reported several times that Olise is seen as the perfect replacement and could immediately fit into the starting lineup.

But, with doubts mounting about Liverpool's ability to qualify for the Champions League next season and questions being raised over the future of manager Arne Slot, it would certainly take a leap of faith from Olise if he were to leave Bayern to join the Reds this summer.
