Arne Slot may decide that he's had enough of Mohamed Salah following reports of an incoming huge offer set for the Liverpool star.
On Sunday afternoon, Slot suffered one of the worst defeats of his Liverpool career as Manchester United claimed a 2-1 win over their historic rivals at Anfield.
After a controversial opening goal from Bryan Mbeumo was met with an equaliser from Cody Gakpo, it was unlikely hero Harry Maguire that scored a goal that secured United's first win at Anfield since Louis van Gaal in January 2016.
In the wake of the match, several Liverpool players have been criticised by fans on social media, with star winger Salah in particular called out for his poor performance.

The United match was just the latest in a series of games where Salah has failed to impress, potentially meaning that Slot could consider cashing in on the forward following reports of a massive offer that is set to arrive.
Throughout the 2024/25 season, which many would consider to be the best of Salah's impressive Liverpool career, there were several discussions around the Egyptian's future at the club ahead of the expiration of his previous contract.
Eventually, after months of negotiations, Salah penned a new two-year deal with Liverpool, keeping him at the club until at least 2027.

Salah's new deal came amid several reported offers from Saudi Pro League clubs, with one reportedly offering the Liverpool star £500million in wages should he accept.
Despite the fact that Salah will be 35 years old by the time his new Liverpool deal expires, the interest from Saudi Arabia is still believed to be stronger than ever.
So much so, that a report from Spanish news outlet Fichajes has claimed that Salah is about to receive another 'millionaire offer' from Saudi Arabia, and this time Slot and Liverpool may consider accepting it.
Although Salah only renewed his contract five months ago, conversations around his future will no doubt be taking place behind the scenes at Liverpool given his drop off in form this season.

After producing his best campaign in terms of goals and assists (47) last season, Salah has just three goals and three assists across 11 appearances in all competitions so far in 2025/26.
Therefore, if Liverpool were to receive a massive offer for the Egyptian, perhaps similar to the £150m from Al Ittihad that was rejected in 2023, they could decide to cash in so that they can secure a high-profile replacement.
There can be no doubt that since his arrival at Liverpool in June 2017, Salah has gone on to become perhaps the greatest player in the club's history.

During his spell with the Reds, Salah has won nearly everything there is to win in club football, including the two Premier League titles, the Champions League and five PFA Players' Player of the Year awards, more than anybody else in history.
Therefore, even the idea of finding someone that can come close to replicating his form seems impossible.
However, one name that has been consistently linked with Liverpool as a potential Salah replacement is Bayern Munich star Michael Olise.
Since his arrival at the Allianz Arena, Olise has scored 26 goals and assisted 29 in 66 appearances, making him one of the current standout players in Europe.

Under his current deal, the France international will remain at Bayern Munich until 2029, but rumours have suggested that the contract includes a release clause that will be valid in the summer of 2026.
