A Home Office survey revealed which clubs had the most football-related-arrests last season, with the total figure hitting a nine-year high.

Topping the list were West Ham fans, with the club seeing 89 arrests for football-related incidents in the 2022/23 season, according to a Home Office report.

The survey also revealed there had been 2,264 football-related arrests that year in England and Wales, the most since 2013/14. However, football matches had a combined attendance of 45.4million people last season which amounts to an arrest rate of just 0.005 per cent, or five arrests for every 100,000 people.

A total of 27 arrests of West Ham fans were for public disorder, while another 23 were for throwing missiles, by far the highest number of arrests for the latter crime.
