Mason Greenwood has been linked with a return to the Premier League as two clubs are believed to have entered the race for his signature.
After a promising early career at Manchester United, Greenwood left the club in 2024 following a controversial legal case involving his partner.
Greenwood had been charged with attempted rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, but the Crown Prosecution Service later dropped the case after key witnesses withdrew
Shortly after, the former England international left United, joining La Liga side Getafe on loan for the 2023/24 season, before securing a permanent move to current club Marseille in a £26.6million move in July 2024.

But now, two Premier League sides are reportedly considering brining Greenwood back to England in a surprise move in the near future.

Since his arrival at Marseille, Greenwood has become a key player for the French side, scoring 30 goals and registering 10 assists across his 48 appearances for the club.
Despite the circumstances surrounding his exit, several clubs have been impressed by this form and are reportedly considering making a move to sign him, with reports claiming that Barcelona are leading the race for his signature.

But the Spanish giants aren't the only clubs believed to be considering signing Greenwood, as London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are both said to be in the race.
According to TEAMtalk, "Barcelona lead the chase for Greenwood, with scouts attending his recent masterclass against Le Havre.
"However, sources have stunningly revealed that Tottenham and West Ham are also in the race."

The report claims that Spurs are looking for a dynamic player to add to their already impressive attacking lineup while West Ham view Greenwood as a player that could help rescue what has been a dismal season so far.
Following their recent 2-1 loss to Leeds United at Elland Road, leaving the Hammers 19th in the Premier League table and four points away from safety, piling further pressure on new manager Nuno, who replaced Graham Potter in September.
However, even if the club decided that Greenwood's on-pitch talent was worth the optics of bringing him back to England, it is believed that West Ham may struggle to convince Greenwood to join them as he wants to play in the top competitions.
Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Saudi Pro League sides like Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr are also said to be considering making an offer for Greenwood should they believe he is available.
