Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds has been linked to another football club less than one day after the Red Dragons’ Carabao Cup exit against League One Cardiff City.
Phil Parkinson’s side fell to a 2-1 loss against Cardiff at the STōK Cae Ras on Tuesday evening, meaning their 2025/26 Carabao Cup campaign went no further than the fourth round stage.
Meanwhile, despite achieving three successive promotions over the past three seasons, Wrexham have struggled to get to grips with the quality of the Championship – English football’s second tier – and currently sit 16th on 14 points having won three, drawn five and lost four of their 12 league games so far this term.
This comes after the North Wales club forked out an estimated £30 million on several summer signings, including former Premier League forwards Kieffer Moore and Nathan Broadhead, as well as ex-England international defender Conor Coady, just to name a few.

As a result of the side’s poor form, head coach Parkinson has come under fire from some sections of the media, with former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Gary O’Neil the favourite to replace him if he does indeed depart, according to BettingOdds.com.

However, it must he noted that there’s no indication that Parkinson’s position is under pressure from the club’s hierarchy at this time.
Even so, changing managers would be a huge thing to deal with for both Wrexham’s fans and players, but the potential of Reynolds jumping ship is almost unthinkable for those associated with the Red Dragons.

Still, according to Genting Casino, the likelihood of a Reynolds exit is improbable but not impossible.
The site currently offers odds of 25/1 on Reynolds to leave his position as Wrexham owner at the start of the 2026/27 campaign, while they also offer odds of 50/1 for the actor to invest in Inter Miami alongside David Beckham.

Reynolds was previously linked with a stunning £300 million takeover of Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps after the current owners - Greg Kerfoot, Steve Luczo, Jeff Mallett and Steven Nash – announced the club was for sale in the winter of 2024. However, the plan has reportedly shifted to finding a new investor rather than a total sale.
Who owns Inter Miami?
Currently, former Manchester United and Real Madrid winger Beckham, as well as American billionaire businessmen brothers Jorge and Jose Mas, own the MLS club.

The Mas family’s wealth comes from their construction and infrastructure company, Mas Tech, which was founded by their father initially as a telephone company in 1969.
In 1994, Jorge took over from his father and transformed the firm into a multinational construction giant.
And in recent years, the Mas brothers’ wealth combined with Beckham’s connections in football have allowed Inter Miami to attract high-profile players such as former Barcelona stars Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba, as well as eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi.
