A former Manchester United star is among the favourites to take over from Phil Parkinson at Wrexham following their Carabao Cup exit.
On Tuesday night, the Red Dragons hosted fellow Welsh side Cardiff City at the Racecourse Ground.
However, it was a horrible night for the Championship club as League One outfit Cardiff came away 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Yousef Salech and Will Fish. Kieffer Moore was the scorer for the hosts.
As the final whistle sounded, boos were heard as the home crowd expressed their discontent.

Speaking after the match, Wrexham boss Parkinson said: "We were off the pace in the first-half, that's probably an understatement. We made it too easy for them and when you've not got that real intent about your pressing, you tend to be slack in possession as well.
"In fairness to them, they pressed us high, forced us into mistakes and we didn't handle that well enough."
He added: "Second half, the changes got us back in the game but we probably didn't produce the right decisions at the right time in that top third of the pitch to create the chances to go and win the tie."

As a result of Wrexham's cup exit, plus their stuttering form in the Championship, Parkinson is under increasing pressure.
Wrexham have only won one out of their last seven matches, a narrow 1-0 win over Oxford United in the Championship last week and they currently sit 16th in the league table.
With Parkinson's position scrutinised, the latest odds on a potential replacement have emerged.
As per BettingOdds.com, the likes of Gary O'Neil (4/1), Ruben Selles (7/1), Steven Gerrard (9/1) and Ruud van Nistelrooy (11/1) are all among the favourites.

Meanwhile, ex-United defender Phil Jones is a shock inclusion, having been priced at 15/2 to take over as Wrexham boss.
Wrexham are back in Championship action on Friday night when they host Frank Lampard's high-flying Coventry City at the Racecourse Ground.
