The Carabao Cup fourth round draw takes place on Wednesday evening - and our simulation of the draw has handed both Wrexham and Chelsea some tough away day ties.

Following the opening matches of the Carabao Cup third round, several clubs are eagerly waiting to find out who they will play in their next fixture in the competition.

The likes of Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool, following their late win over Southampton at Anfield, have all booked their places in the fourth round.

Outside of the Premier League, Welsh clubs Swansea City, Wrexham and Cardiff City made history as Wales now has three clubs in the fourth round of the competition for the first time.

Meanwhile Grimsby Town claimed a 1-0 away win over Sheffield Wednesday following their spectacular win over Manchester United in the second round.

The final four matches of the third round will take place on Wednesday night, the draw for the next round will take place immediately after Port Vale's home clash with Arsenal.

Ahead of the draw, we did on our draw and it produced some interesting results, particularly for both Wrexham and Chelsea.

Following their home win over Reading, Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac's side have been handed a brutal away day as they face Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield.

However, the toughest fixture in the simulation was undoubtedly given to Chelsea, who could face London rivals Arsenal should the Gunners progress through their third round tie against Port Vale.

Should Manchester City make it to the next round following Wednesday's match with Huddersfield Town, they will welcome Wycombe Wanderers to the Etihad.

Grimsby Town have been given the chance to knock another top Premier League side out at Blundell Park as they face the winners of Tottenham Hotspur's third round match with Doncaster Rovers.

Newcastle United will face Premier League rivals Brighton if they are beat Bradford City in their third round match.

Elsewhere in the draw, Cardiff City and Swansea City face each other in a South Wales derby, Fulham travel to Selhurst Park for an all-London clash while Brentford host Wolves in an another Premier League tie..
