
Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr has spoken out following his furious outburst towards manager Xabi Alonso during El Clasico.
On Sunday, Real Madrid secured a potentially season-defining win over historic rivals Barcelona in El Clasico at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Goals from Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham secured the three points in the heated affair, extending their lead at the top of La Liga to five points.
However, it wasn't all positive at Real Madrid as star player Vinicius Jr was spotted hitting out at Real Madrid manager Alonso after the Spaniard decided to substitute him off in the 72nd minute.

And now, the winger has released a statement on social media reacting to the backlash he has received for the outburst.

As he came off the pitch to be replaced by fellow Brazil international Rodrygo, threw his arms up in the air while allegedly threatening to leave the team.
According to DAZN, as he came off the Bernabeu pitch, Vinicius shouted: "Me? Coach? Coach, me? It's always me. I'm leaving the team. It's better I leave."

But the 25-year-old has now spoken out to apolgise to fans and the club for his behaviour and his comments during the outburst, admitting that the emotions of such a big game had gotten the better of him.
Posting on X, Vinicius wrote: "Today I want to apologize to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clasico.
"Just as I have already done in person during today's training, I also want to apologize again to my teammates, the club, and the president.
"Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I always want to win and help my team. My competitive character stems from the love I feel for this club and everything it represents.

"I promise to keep fighting every second for the good of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day."

His outburst towards Alonso wasn't the only time that Vinicius allowed his emotions to boil during the match, as after the final whistle, he was seen angrily approaching Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal
After the match as a brawl broke out between both benches, Vinicius began arguing with Yamal, with security eventually holding the Brazilian back as he tired to make his way towards the Barcelona star.

Vinicius Jr wasn't the only Real Madrid player who confronted the 18-year-old after the match, as Dani Carvajal was also seen approaching Yamal following the whistle.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, the veteran defender was planning on ‘confronting’ his national teammate, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that he told the 18-year-old "You speak too much. Speak now”.
