Roy Keane gave a damning verdict when asked if Michael Carrick should land the Manchester United job on a full-time basis.
Man United returned to winning ways following their defeat to Newcastle United by beating Aston Villa 3-1 on Sunday.
It's their latest win under Carrick, who has overseen the club's upturn in form, having secured victories over Arsenal and Manchester City.
But Keane is still unconvinced by the 44-year-old and insists there are 'better options out there'.

Asked if he would give Carrick the job on a permanent deal, Keane replied: "No... I think there's better options out there."
The Irishman continued by exposing Man United's form under Carrick, referencing long spells of preparation and a lack of jeopardy in games.
"I think the games where he's come in, in terms of winning football matches, he's done a very good job. He's obviously simplified things, but there's been no jeopardy in those games," he added.
"They've had three weeks to prepare for the matches. It's been good timing for him to go in there and he's done a very good job. I take my hat off to him.
"If he does get the job in the summer, you say, listen, good luck to you."

Keane continued: "But I think there's far better options out there for the next manager of Man United. If Carrick had been mentioned three months ago, you would have been locked up to be the next United manager.
"We would have said he wasn't even in the reckoning. But timing, he's got the opportunity to do a very good job... I think there's better options out there."
Who does Roy Keane want as Manchester United manager?
Keane name-dropped two elite managers when discussing who should get the Man United job on a full-time basis.
He mentioned Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique, who has emerged as a candidate.
Simeone has been in charge of Atletico since 2011 and has inspired them to two La Liga triumphs.
As for Enrique, he helped his side to a quadruple last season, including Champions League glory.
