Micheal Carrick's wife didn't hold back after hearing what Manchester United legend Roy Keane said about her husband.
After 14 months, Ruben Amorim was sacked by Manchester United after the Portuguese manager was part of a heated meeting with Jason Wilcox, United's director of football.
Following the decision, it was confirmed that former player Darren Fletcher would step up from his role as U18 coach and lead the senior team on an interim basis while the club looked to appoint a caretaker manager.
Weeks of rumours linking the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the job appear to finally have come to an end as United legend Carrick is reportedly set to be appointed in the coming days.

But ahead of his return to Old Trafford, Carrick may have to address a former feud between his wife and fellow club legend Keane.

Although Carrick's new role is yet to be confirmed by United, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that a verbal agreement has been reached and all details including the appointments of backroom staff have been agreed.
Across his United career, Carrick made 464 appearances across 12 years playing at Old Trafford, leading the club as captain for the 2017–2018 season.

And it was during one of his performances as captain that Keane, working as a pundit for ITV, delivered a pretty scathing report of David Moyes' squad while labelling Carrick's post-match interview as "flat - just like the team's performance".
The comments clearly reached Carrick's wife Lisa, who responded to Keane's claims in a brutal post on social media.
Posting on Twitter, she wrote: "Roy Keane what a ****, says anything to provoke a reaction."

Shortly after Lisa, who has been with Michael since they were 15, decided to take down the message, adding: "Deleted my tweet. Emotions got the better of me... just disappointed."

Lisa and Michael Carrick tied the knot in 2007 at a ceremony St Peter’s church in Wyndmondham and have been together through all of Michael's professional career as a player and a manager.

Michael Carrick's career record as a manager
Carrick's expected appointment as interim manager will see him return to the dugout after being names caretaker manager late in 2021, following the departure of Solskjaer.

The Englishman led his former club for three matches, winning matches against Villareal and Mikel Arteta's Arsenal while drawing one with Chelsea.
He then stepped aside from the role as Ralf Rangnick took over, before being appointed as manager of Middlesbrough in October 2022, where he won 63 games, lost 49 and drew 24 before leaving in June last year.
