Bruno Fernandes angry 'leaked' WhatsApp messages about teammates resurface amid Man Utd bust-up reports

Bruno Fernandes angry 'leaked' WhatsApp messages about teammates resurface amid Man Utd bust-up reports

He was not happy.

Bruno Fernandes’ WhatsApp messages about his Sporting teammates have resurfaced amid a report of his involvement in a dressing room bust-up at United.

Erik ten Hag’s side suffered a 3-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday, the club’s fourth defeat in succession against the Seagulls.

The result means United have now lost three of the first four league games of the season, for the first time in 34 years.

And the Sun claimed that after the loss four United stars were involved in a dressing room bust-up.

As per the report, Fernandes confronted fellow midfielder Scott McTominay, while defenders Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof, who had just played 90 minutes together, allegedly “lost it with each other”.

Amid the chaos, the Sun claimed Ten Hag was attempting “to restore order”.

When contacted by Mail Sport, however, United refuted all the claims of the report.

Irrespective of the veracity of the original report, it is widely known that Fernandes demands high standards from his teammates.

Even during his time at Sporting in Portugal, the midfielder was not afraid to make his feelings clear if he felt his teammates were not playing to the required standard.

Portuguese publication Record once shared a leaked WhatsApp voice note which they claimed featured Fernandes questioning the attitude of his colleagues.

Fernandes allegedly said: "Bro, I don't say anything! Honestly, if you want me to tell you, I'd rather not comment on anything.

“I think very badly of some of the attitudes of some players. Actually not a certain attitude, it's an attitude that does not exist.

"There are players who have no attitude here, bro. They don't want to be here, they don't want to play.

“If they don't want to be here then f*** off, let them say they don't want to play. They spend a year here getting money, and then they f*** off, bro. S*** attitude bro, for f**** sake."
