Man Utd issue update after report of furious dressing bust-up involving Bruno Fernandes and three others

They have issued an update.

Manchester United have issued an update after a report emerged that four of their players had been involved in a dressing room bust-up.

United’s dismal start to the Premier League season continued on Saturday, with Erik ten Hag’s side falling to a 3-1 defeat to Brighton for the fourth top-flight game in succession.

United have now lost three of the first four league games of a season for the first time in 34 years.

And on Monday, the Sun claimed that four United stars were involved in a dressing room bust-up in the aftermath of the defeat.

Club captain, Bruno Fernandes, was allegedly in the argument, reportedly confronting team-mate Scott McTominay.

Moreover, defenders Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof, who both played 90 minutes together, also allegedly “lost it with each other”, while manager Ten Hag tried “to restore order”.

However, when contacted by Mail Sport Manchester United refuted the claims of the report.

Nevertheless, United have endured a torrid start to the season, with their latest result having seen them drop to 13th in the Premier League on six points.

After the game, Ten Hag insisted that his side must show unity, with Bayern Munich and Burnley to play this week.

The Dutchman told Sky Sports: "We must stick together and stick to the plan and the rules and we will turn this around.

"It bothers me [the form], but I have to see the way we play. It's about character, we have to see how strong we are and how the team sticks together.

“Players standing up and showing character because in all the games, especially the game today [Saturday] and against Arsenal and Forest, we have seen we can play well and create chances.

"But we also have some improvements to make and we have to step up."
