It will go down as one of the all-time great FA Cup games.

On Sunday afternoon, in the final moments at Old Trafford, out-of-favour forward Amad Diallo netted the winner against Liverpool to secure Manchester United's place in the FA Cup semi-finals.

The Ivorian forward, who recently voiced his frustration over a lack of first-team minutes this season, found the back of the net with 120 minutes on the clock. One hundred and twenty.

Moments later, referee John Brooks handed Diallo a red card for his celebrations but with a huge grin on his face, the former Sunderland loanee walked down the tunnel to huge applause.

Here is that quite remarkable moment.

It was an incredible end to what was an action-packed game.

United looked dangerous early on and they made their early dominance count through Scott McTominay, who prodded home from close range after some great wing play from Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho.

It was a positive start to proceedings for the home side. In fact, Erik ten Hag's side should have arguably been two or three up.

But after spurning a number of big chances, United's well-known problems out of possession started to emerge – and their opponents capitalised.

With a minute remaining of the opening 45, an effort from Alexis Mac Allister took a deflection off Kobbie Mainoo's left boot, beating Andre Onana to his right.

Then, just moments before referee John Brooks blew his whistle for half-time, Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead with another close range finish.

As a result, the Egyptian forward became the first player in history to score in five consecutive away games against United.

It was, however, a three-minute spell that summed up the home side's inconsistencies this season.

Liverpool would continue to exploit the gaps between United's midfield and defence – and should have put the game to bed earlier on.

But the unexpected right boot of Antony levelled the game with three minutes of normal time remaining.

The tie went to extra time and after a relatively even period, Harvey Elliott netted to put Liverpool ahead with another deflected strike.

And then, in the most dramatic of endings, Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo netted to give United the biggest win of their season to date.
