Wrexham fans are convinced Elliot Lee took a dig at manager Phil Parkinson following his loan move to Doncaster Rovers.
Lee was a pivotal figure in the midfield of the Wrexham sides that secured three consecutive promotions to the Championship from the National League.
The 31-year-old is yet to make an appearance in the Championship for the Welsh side, with all three of his appearances coming in the Carabao Cup.
Parkinson has named Lee in the Championship matchday squad just four times this campaign, most recently back in August vs Millwall.

Lee, who is recovering from a knee injury, was confirmed as a Doncaster Rovers loan signing on deadline day, and his first interview with The Rovers has raised eyebrows back in Wales.

"I found myself out of favour at Wrexham, so I want to come and play for a manager that makes me feel valued again, and this is where I wanted to come play my football because of that," Lee said.
"So yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting out there with the lads and showing everyone I can do."
The loanee added:"From leaving Wrexham to come here because obviously I had such a successful three seasons and found myself out of favour, but that's football, so I want to come here and play for a manager that values me again, and as I said, having spoken to the manager a few times, I can't wait to play for him and I'm really excited."
Lee's interview quickly made its way to Wrexham fans on social media, who were convinced the midfielder was taking shots at his former manager.
One fan wrote: "Unsure if these are shots fired from Elliot Lee in the direction of Parky or not..."
Another fan replied: "I think it’s pretty clear that it is. He felt unappreciated by not getting playtime and blames the gaffer. I understand his frustration."
A second reply read: "Ouch a bit of a kicker there - reality is the club has to move forward keep developing and progressing. Elliot fell down the pecking order sadly and it’s football but not a fan of his dig."
A third added: "100% shots fired. Tbf he didn’t get given a chance in the league, but the squad just outgrown him sadly."
