Footage of Eddie Howe's dressing room team talk after Man Utd win emerges, it's great content

Dressing room footage of Eddie Howe addressing his Newcastle players after their impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday afternoon has emerged.

Second-half goals from Joe Willock and Callum Wilson handed the Magpies a much-deserved win against a lacklustre United side devoid of any real attacking threat.

Newcastle have leapfrogged United in the league and now sit third after losing just three games all season.

After the full-time whistle, cameras followed a delighted Eddie Howe into the St James' Park dressing room, where he spoke to the likes of Joelinton, Sean Longstaff and Kieran Trippier.

Howe said: "For me, we got what we deserved today because of how we've trained in the past two weeks. The attitude and application to everything we've asked you to do has been top.

"Very, very pleased for everybody in the room. We move on because we've got another game very soon. We need to be professional in the next couple of days and we try and get this feeling again.

"Our confidence level should be through the roof after that. We build on it guys, well done."

The squad then celebrated with members of staff after Howe's speech before posing for their trademark post-match picture. You can watch the scenes from St James' Park below.

It's fair to say the footage received a mixed response from social media. Some thought the content was a fascinating insight into the matchday experience, while others disagreed.

One fan said: "Anyone else think that’s embarrassing? If we were both fighting it out for the title then I could understand the reaction but we’re both fighting to be in the top four."

A second wrote: "Congratulations on winning the World Cup," while a third commented: "Why is filming in the dressing room allowed? It devalues proper scenes in dressing rooms. This is so fake and 'for the cameras'."

A fourth said: "More of this content pls, from all clubs."

A fifth added: "Love how much our team photos rattle other fans."

Erik ten Hag, meanwhile, was handing out a scathing assessment of Manchester United's poor performance in his post-match interview.

"They were more determined, had more aggression and more desire, in many situations on the pitch and then you can’t win games," he said.

"I was surprised that we couldn't match the determination and the passion of the opponent. And I think you know before when you travel to St James' Park and Newcastle what will be going on, especially after we won the cup. So if you want to win big games you have to be mature and I didn't see that today.

"No, I don't think [the players] underestimate Newcastle. Or think they play above their levels, they were so eager but you could expect that. They lose a big game against us and, of course, they are determined to win this game.

"But you have to match that and be aware of the situation from the start. But we didn’t. We didn't enter the final third too many times, we didn't enter the box of the opponent and they could easily come into our box and what we did well was blocking shots from the chances we create but I think we have to do it much better."
