Alphonso Davies has been told to stick to football after releasing a rap track with his hip-hop group Stugang.

Canadian Davies recently made his return to the Bayern Munich side after battling a mild heart condition and has won a fourth consecutive Bundesliga title with the Bavarians.

Away from football, Davies is a prolific Twitch streamer but he is also a huge lover of rap music - to the point where he co-founded his own trio.

The Stugang collective is made of three footballers plying their trade in Germany, with Davies accompanied by Alexis Fambo of SV Heimstetten and 1860 Rosenheim's Stephan Menseh.

Their track 'Nur Weil’, which translates to 'Only Because', was released this week and has already racked up nearly 75,000 views on YouTube.

Davies, wearing black Supreme and Yves Saint Laurent garms and a chain in the music video, comes in with an English verse around halfway through the song, which has a drill-type beat.

The 21-year-old spits bars about "getting that paper and "sipping henny" but also has lyrics referencing his manhood and guns.

Davies' rap exploits have led to plenty of reaction on social media:

Davies joins the likes of Memphis Depay, Romelu Lukaku, Erling Haaland and Clint Dempsey in spraying bars and we'd like to know what his compatriot Drake things of his cadence and flow.

The former Vancouver Whitecaps youth product got a follow from 'Drizzy' in August 2020 after winning the Champions League with Bayern and lost his mind.

He would then go on to meet him in October 2021.

Davies was born to Liberian parents in a Ghanaian refugee camp after they fled a civil war and moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at the age of five.

He's since gone on to become one of the best left-backs in the world and finished third in the 2020 Golden Boy award standings.
