Bayern Munich are about to take one of Borussia Dortmund's best players once again

Bayern Munich are about to take one of Borussia Dortmund's best players once again

Bayern Munich are reportedly looking to sign yet another Borussia Dortmund star on a free transfer.

Bayern Munich could be about to take one of Borussia Dortmund's best players yet again.

In recent years the ruthless Bavarians have taken the likes of Mario Gotze, Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski, weakening their rivals considerably.

Dortmund pulled a reverse on Bayern by snapping up defender Niklas Sule, securing the services of the giant defender on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

But Bayern look set to repeat their raids on Dortmund yet again just days after pipping them to the Bundesliga title in the dying embers of a dramatic finale.

Jamal Musiala's 89th minute winner for Bayern at Koln sealed an eleventh consecutive title in a row on goal difference, breaking Dortmund hearts after their 2-2 draw with Mainz.

And Bayern are planning to rub salt in the wounds by trying to lure Raphael Guerrero to the club. According to Florian Plettenberg, the left-back is attracting interest from the champions and first talks between the two parties were "positive".

He is said to be keen on the move as he is happy in Germany and would like to continue playing in the Bundesliga.

Guerrero has been speaking to Dortmund teammates about Bayern's interest and he also has a strong relationship with Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel, who he worked with when he was coaching BVB.

Guerrero scored on his final appearance for Dortmund on Saturday, having now announced that he will be leaving on a free transfer.

“After seven amazing years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to you all with a lot of sadness," he wrote.

“The memories I made here taught me a lot on myself on the pitch but also helped me a lot knowing what I really love in football.

“I have always been myself while learning and improving here and I will never forget the love I got from the fans and my team-mates during these seven years. I had the chance to play with some fantastic players!”

He made 224 appearances, scoring 40 times and winning the German cup on two occasions.
