Barcelona stars Pedri and Ronald Araujo showed real class on Wednesday night, by going straight over to Juan Carlos Unzue and other ALS sufferers following their friendly with Manchester City, as the video below shows.

Barca and City faced off on Wednesday in one of the season's more surprisingly arranged fixtures, considering we're only a few weeks into the new league campaign for both, in which three Barcelona players may have said goodbye to the club in perfect fashion.

However it was actually a match that had previously been delayed and had to be put into the schedule somewhere as it was all for a good cause.

The two sides, who obviously share a connection due to Pep Guardiola, and the way they'd like to play football, were raising money for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS.

Former player and coach for the Catalan giants Unzue suffers from the disease and all the proceeds were going towards research at the Luzon Foundation.

Whilst other players went back to the changing rooms at full time, Pedri and Araujo went straight over to Unzue and others who suffer from ALS.

Speaking to the crown, the 55-year-old, who played two years at the Nou Camp, said, "I would like to thank FC Barcelona and Manchester City for their commitment and sensitivity to our cause.

"I also want to thank everyone who bought a ticket, and everyone who donated via the row zero initiative.

"I would like you to know that everyone from the ALS team - here on the pitch with me - want to keep living and enjoying life."

91,062 fans packed into the Nou Camp for the game, with everyone's tickets going towards the charity, whilst those watching on Barca TV or City TV were encouraged to donate via a QR code.

The former goalkeeper sat next to Guardiola in the City dugout for the first half, before joining Xavi for the home team in the second half.

Whilst the game wasn't exactly full of tackles flying in from everywhere, it certainly kept the large crowd entertained from beginning right to the very end.

The two sides shared six goals evenly between them in a 3-3 draw, although many wondered how in the world Erling Haaland was given a penalty for City's injury time equaliser.

Chelsea fans were also intrigued by goings on in Spain, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's goal certainly exciting those at Stamford Bridge.
