Aaron Ramsdale's Interview With David Seaman Is Comedy Gold, He Is Quickly Becoming Fan Favourite At Arsenal

"I'm not that old!"

Aaron Ramsdale has only been at Arsenal for just over a month but the likeable shot-stopper is quickly becoming a fan favourite amongst supporters.

The 23-year-old England international, who joined Mikel Arteta's side in a much-talked about £24 million deal from Sheffield United in the summer transfer window, has proved his doubters wrong in recent weeks.

He has won all three of the Premier League matches he has been involved in and to his credit, has produced a number of quality performances for the Gunners, including a memorable display in the North London derby on Sunday.

Ramsdale not only pulled off a world class save to deny Spurs forward Lucas Moura in the 90th minute; a stop that has been labelled by some as the save of the season so far, but he showcased impressive leadership throughout.

Take this moment involving Thomas Partey, for example. You can see him clearly pointing and telling the midfielder where to pass the ball.

It may only be a small detail in what was a dominant performance from Arteta's side but Arsenal have lacked such a commanding figure in recent years.

Ramsdale's actions after the full-time whistle only improved his relationship with the Arsenal fanbase.

After paying tribute to the home support with a passionate celebration, the goalkeeper spoke to club legend David Seaman in what turned out to be an entertaining interview.

As you can see in the clips below, Ramsdale joked that he's "not that old" to have watched Seaman in action during his time in North London.

Seaman then described Ramsale's save in stoppage time as a "worldie" - a reaction that certainly pleased the England shot-stopper.

In terms of his overall performance, Ramsdale was irritated after conceding in the 3-1 win.

"I’d have loved to have kept a clean sheet, I’m a bit annoyed at myself for the goal," Ramsdale said on Premier League Productions.

"If I keep my body weight forward I think I save it and it goes round the post.

"But this place was rocking today, the strikers were excellent, defenders were excellent, I’m buzzing off this. This is one hell of a day and hopefully every time we play them it’ll be like this."

Thoughts on Ramsdale's start at Arsenal? Can he retain the number one spot?
